The Department of State Services (DSS) on Monday 18 October 2021 arraigned a 19-year-old lady before the Federal High Court, Bayelsa State for sharing nude videos of a retired permanent secretary on social media.
According to the prosecutor, Victor Uchendu the 19-year-old engaged in cyber-stalking by sharing the permanent secretary’s nude videos on social media groups.
It was learnt that the accused resolved to circulate the retired permanent secretary’s picture after the inability to receive N15 million through threats.
Section 24 of Cybercrimes Prohibition Action of 2015 states anyone who commits an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of not more than N7,000,000.00 or imprisonment for a term of not more than 3 years or to both such fine and imprisonment.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges, her legal counsel applied for her bail, she had been in the custody of DSS for thirteen days from when she was arrested.
