Kwara State Fire Service rescued a train from scathefire

Unknown persons have reportedly set ablaze a train at Offa railway station in Offa local government area of Kwara State.

According to a press statement made available to Journalists in Ilorin by the head of media and publicity of the Kara State Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle, the incident occurred at Offa Railway Station in Offa where out of the 15 coaches contained by the affected train, two were burnt but eventually put out by the efforts of the firemen. No life was lost to the incident.

Meanwhile, the Director, Kwara State Fire Service, Falade Olumuyiwa has urged the general public not to hesitate to call fire brigade on time whenever there is any fire emergency in their areas, as this would save lives and properties of people in the state.
