Kwara NSCDC Trains Private Security Guards on Synergy & Effective Service Delivery

The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has trained about thirty-four private security guards on effective service delivery to strengthen the security architecture in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the State Commandant, Iskil Makinde, the Command Public Relations Officer, Afolabi Babawale said the training is part of ongoing policy reforms in line with the mandate of the corps to ensure efficiency and professionalism by security personnel.

With the increasing level of insecurity across the country, private guards according to stakeholders are needed to complement the efforts of regular security agencies in order to achieve a crime-free society, hence the need for registration and training of the private guard companies.

In his remarks, the State Chairman of the Association of Licensed Security Private Practitioners of Nigeria, Paris Agege maintained that the training will impact positively on his members and called for more support to enable private Security companies to play their role in the present Security arrangement.

The command noted that training and registration of private security outfits in the state is a continuous exercise to guarantee synergy and needed professionalism on the job.
