The two committees set up in the wake of the crisis rocking the University of Ilorin Alumni Association has submitted their reports for consideration and ratification of the congress of the association.
The two committees, Constitution Review and Fact Findings were raised following the dispute that ensued, which resulted in two factions laying claim to the association’s leadership.
Professor Wahab Egbewole, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, led the Constitution Review Committee, Professor Gboyega Fawole chaired the Committee on Fact Findings that were Instituted for an amicable resolution of the conflict arising from the two factions.
Professor Wahab Egbewole, who chaired the Committee on Constitution Review, proposed a new Constitution with 25 articles, assuring that the association would move forward if properly implemented.
Similarly while presenting his report, the Chairman, Fact Findings Committee, Professor Gboyega Fawole, said it was observed that offices of the National Executive Committee of the association were being recycled for a very long time.
As a measure to forestall crisis in the association, the Fawole-led committee recommended a fresh election and warned that none of the members of the two factions should be allowed to contest in the poll that would usher in new leaders.
The Chairman, Body of Past Presidents of the University of Ilorin Alumni Association, Professor Olufemi Durosaro, who received the two reports at the public presentation held at the Boardroom of the Faculty of Law of the institution, said justice would be done for the alumni to be better.

In attendance at the presentation of the reports, which was also complemented virtually, were a former Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Adedayo Abdulkareem; Professor Jeleel Ojuade of the Department of the Performing Arts and others.
