Three resume Chelsea shirt sponsorship after new ownership takes control

Global telecommunications brand Three have agreed to continue as Chelsea’s main shirt sponsor after ending their nominal suspension of connection with the club, the Evening Standard reported today.

Their logo is back on the website, and they will be back on the shirts from next season.

The mobile phone network ended their sponsorship in March when Roman Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK government, and there was initially talk that their logo would be taken off the team’s shirts as it was from the website and advertising hoardings at Stamford Bridge.

But the speed of the takeover ‘s progress obviously kept them happy, and now that Todd Boehly is in charge, they’re content to resume their three year deal, worth £40m a season, which began in 2020.

Now that is agreed, the long awaited photos of the new kits can be released, and they can resume taking up their corporate box at the Bridge.
