The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the Taraba State nominee, Muazu Sambo, as a minister.
This was a sequel to his screening by the Senate at the Committee of the Whole, during which he was asked questions by some senators.
Sambo was ushered into the hallowed chamber of the Senate by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Babajide Omoworare.
Sambo said he will crack the issues hindering the progress of the Mambilla power project within one year.
Sambo said there must be a way of appeasing Sunrise Power Transmission Company of Nigeria Ltd (SPTCL).
At the end of the exercise, the upper legislative chamber confirmed Muazu Sambo’s nomination as a minister.
The new minister is to replace Mallam Mamman Sale, who was dropped as minister last September by President Muhammadu Buhari.
