Antonio Rudiger’s stunning long-range strike against Brentford has been chosen by Chelsea supporters as the club’s best goal in April.
It will come as no surprise that the defender’s brilliant effort has been voted as our Goal of the Month, after he opened the scoring at Stamford Bridge early in the second half against the Bees.
Rudiger received the ball in space from N’Golo Kante a long way out. He had threatend with shots from range on a number of occasions this season, but this time it came off. From 40 yards his powerful effort arrowed towards goal, moving in the air on its way past Brentford goalkeeper David Raya and off the inside of the left-hand post before nestling in the back of the net.
