Report: PL club now enter talks to sign £33m Chelsea player

Chelsea are now reportedly in talks with Premier League rivals Everton for the sale of Michy Batshuayi.

According to 90min, Everton are in discussions as they attempt to sign the 28-year-old centre-forward

If Batshuayi completes a move to Everton, don’t be surprised if he bags a fair few goals for them.

He’s a decent finisher around the box with 25 goals in just 45 Belgium caps.

With Richarlison no longer on the books on Merseyside, it seems like a no-brainer for them to bring in a goalscorer.

Chelsea are in a position where they need a No.9 that can score goals at the highest level, but unfortunately Batshuayi is just a level below what they require.

Everton talks for Batshuayi

Batshuayi’s actually been on Chelsea’s books since 2016, scoring a decent tally of 25 goals in 77 first-team appearances for the Blues.

The £33million striker scored a famous title-clinching goal in the Premier League back in 2017 to write his name into the club’s history forever, too.

Despite being a capable forward, it seems like this summer would be a good time for him to part ways with Chelsea.

He’s spent the majority of the last few years out on loan at Besiktas, Crystal Palace, Valencia and Borussia Dortmund. Therefore, it would be great for him to find a settled home, especially ahead of the World Cup later this year.
