On Valentine’s Day, Hushpuppi might face 20 years in prison

On February 14, a US court will punish social media influencer Ramon Abbas Olorunwa (aka Hushpuppi) for allegedly laundering $24 million.

Hushpuppi may face up to 20 years in jail, according to court records revealed in July of last year, and will be required to “make full compensation to the victim(s).”

Hushpuppi will learn his fate on Valentine’s Day, according to the online publication Newsroom, after over two years in jail in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and Los Angeles, California. He pleaded guilty to charges on April 20, last year, and the US Department of Justice verified the date in an email on Tuesday, January 25, this year, according to Newsroom.

Hushpuppi, 37, is well-known for posting photographs of his luxurious lifestyle on Instagram, where he has 2.5 million followers.

According to court filings filed in California, Hushpuppi’s activities cost victims about $24 million in total.

According to the records, Hushpuppi attempted to steal more than $1.1 million from someone who intended to build a new children’s school in Qatar in one plan.

According to court documents, he pled guilty to this offense on April 20.
