Journalist Missing: NUJ members storm police headquarters

Media practitioners under the umbrella of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) have staged a protest demanding answers into the disappearance of one of its members, Tordue Salem, a journalist with Vanguard newspaper.

According to reports to ngrDesk.com, the chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, FCT chapter, Emmanuel Ogbeche, who led the aggrieved journalists to the police headquarters asked that urgent steps be taken to release the victim.

Members of the 4th estate of the realm carried placards with inscriptions such as ‘Free Tordue now’, ‘Enough is Enough’, ‘Stop violence against journalists’, ‘Free the press,’ ‘Journalists’ lives matter “We want Tordue back alive.”

The missing journalist was last seen on the 13th of October 2021.
