Conor Gallagher’s impressive season in the Premier League with Crystal Palace ended on another positive note for player and club. Gallagher was influential as always for the Eagles as they ended 2021/22 with a 1-0 home win over Manchester United, the midfielder’s 63 touches of the ball the highest in a Palace shirtThe win meant Crystal Palace kept a fifth consecutive home clean sheet in the top flight for the first time in 20 years and ended a Premier League campaign with a positive goal difference for the first time since 1991, sitting 12th in the table.

Tiemoue Bakayoko picked up a winner’s medal on Sunday as AC Milan were crowned Italian champions on the last day of the Serie A season. Bakayoko didn’t get on the pitch in the final game which confirmed their Scudetto triumph, being an unused substitute as they won 3-0 away at Sassuolo, with former Blues striker Olivier Giroud setting them on their way by netting the first two goals, but the midfielder made 14 Serie A appearances for Milan in their title-winning campaign.
