Antonio Rudiger reacts to his first training session as a Real Madrid player

Antonio Rudiger has completed his first training session as a member of the Real Madrid squad.

The former Chelsea man took to Twitter to showcase himself getting to grips with his new teammates in the Spanish capital.

The German was notably the biggest exit Thomas Tuchel has had to deal with this summer, as he chose not to sign a new contract with the club to extend his stay.

This is despite playing his best football under his fellow countryman, being utilised on the left of a back three to great effect.

He was even voted in the league’s team of the season, much to the annoyance of title winner Aymeric Laporte.

After a summer of Nations League fixtures with Germany, the 29-year-old has now begun training with his new side ahead of their La Liga season.

He took to Twitter to say: “First day at the new office, Vamooosss

Carlo Ancelotti’s side will be looking to replicate their outstanding season last time out, with them defying all odds to win the Champions League.

They beat the best England has to offer, with Liverpool, Manchester City and the Blues all falling foul to dramatic Madrid performances.

The Blues have begun looking to replace the void left by Rudiger’s exit, with them expected to announce the arrival of Kalidou Koulibaly at any moment.

While it has been reported the club have cooled their interest in Nathan Ake from Manchester City, it could mean they reignite their desire to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla.

Levi Colwill could be set to challenge for the role left by Rudiger’s exit though, following an impressive season on loan at Huddersfield Town.

With rumours suggesting he could be forced out the club, Chelsea fans will be hoping the new era at the club signifies the changing of the trait in the market which has marred them for year.
