30th January 2023 – Delta State Police Command announces the successful neutralization of two members of a dangerous armed robbery/kidnapping gang in Udu LGA. During a police operation led by CSP Aliyu Shaba, one suspect was caught at a local club and another was killed in a gunfight at the gang’s hideout. One AK-47 rifle and 27 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition were recovered.
The injured suspect died before reaching the hospital. The police are still searching for other members of the gang.
In another operation, police raided a cultist hideout in Oghara and recovered one AK-47 rifle and one double-barreled gun with cartridges. After hearing many times that generators were being stolen, CP Ari Muhammed Ali told the DPOs of Asaba metropolis to catch the thieves or be fired. Acting on this order, the arrest of Titus Sunday was made in Port Harcourt, and he led the police to recover a 220KVA generator and 7 other stolen soundproof generators. The search for other members of the theft syndicate continues.
