Over 30 individuals were killed when terrorists opened fire on worshipers inside the Catholic Church during a Sunday Mass. The occurrence took place on June 5, 2022.

Irabor revealed that the arrest was the consequence of the Nigerian military and other sister security services working together effectively.

Idris Abdulmalik Omeiza is one of the attack’s masterminds, according to CDS Iraboh, who revealed this information during the discussion with media executives.

He said that Omeiza was a key figure in the attacks on the Catholic Church in Owo on June 5 and a police station in Kogi State’s Adavi Local Government Area, which resulted in the death of a police officer and the theft of weapons.

Irabor continued, referring to Omeiza as “one of the high profile ISWAP terrorists that escaped from Kuje,” and saying that Idris Ojo “wasn’t done with his previous crimes but was plotting additional fatal strikes.”
