The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it has been attracted to certain public statements and speculations suggesting that its party has allocated the presidential ticket to a specific region of the country.
In a statement, it was made known that “this is absolutely false and does not represent the viewpoint of our party in any manner.”
To prevent any confusion, the PDP has said unambiguously that it has not allocated its presidential ticket to any portion of the nation.
The PDP is a political party founded on democratic principles, and every action by the Party, including zoning, is based on extensive consultations, discussions, and consideration of all issues, as well as the various tendencies and interests across the country, with the main goal of ensuring that our nation’s unity, peaceful coexistence, and development are reinforced and promoted.
As a result, the PDP invites Nigerians, our throngs of members, and supporters to fully dismiss the bogus zoning allegations that are being sold. Our party likewise urges anyone making the accusations to cease and desist immediately.
The PDP hails Nigerians across the board for their enormous interest in our party as a sure platform to rescue and rebuild our nation from misrule, and urges them to remain unified and focused as we join forces for the mission ahead.
