Salvador wants President Buhari to sign the electoral amendment bill

A leader of the All progressives Congress(APC) Hon. Moshood Salvador, says electronic transmission of results is the solution to reducing election fraud in Nigeria with a call on President Muhammadu Buhari to assent to an amended electoral bill.

Hon. Salvador made the call Monday while addressing journalists at an event to host party members under the umbrella of the Conscience Forum Group in Lagos.

While he commended the National Assembly for being modest in passing the amendment bill that now gives INEC power to transmit results electronically, he urged the president to write his name in gold by speedily passing it into law to wipe out the manual transmission of results.

Salvador, who maintained that technology is the way forward to improving the integrity of elections in Nigeria, especially in modern times, added that it will also put an end to the high budget, politics of the most powerful political power and encourage that of candidature.

However, Hon Salvador is quick to beat his chest for APC national leader, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to become Nigerian president in 2023 with a credible electoral system in place.

The APC leader, while reacting to unnecessary bank charges and other fraudulent acts perpetrated during transactions, tasked the CBN governor to correct the ills which, according to him, are causing Nigerians hard times and they die in silence.

The APC leader also advocated that the physically challenged persons must be considered in governance to the people.
