The rumoured Man United third kit has been kept under wraps pretty well – until now, as the 2022/23 alternate jersey has been leaked online…
Manchester United’s home and away kits have been released for a fair while now, with the Red Devils modelling both during pre-season.
Adidas have absolutely knocked it out of the park with those two, though the third kit has remained hidden, until today…
As usual, it’s the folks over at Footy headlines who have been first with the scoop. Huge credit to those ladies and gents over there, who work tirelessly to bring us all these leaks.
Judging from the photo below, United have gone for an extremely modern look for their third kit for the 2022/23 season. The colour is described as a ‘hi-vis yellow’ base colour, with ‘striking’ yellow applications and logos. No kidding!
The one familiarity with the other kits is the zig-zag collar, which is on both the home and away kits. That alone leads me to believe that there is real truth behind this latest leak. The shielded crest also features.
It’s young Hannibal modelling the jersey here. My first thought is this absolutely looks like a goalkeeper kit. It’s probably the first Adidas strip that I haven’t liked at all since they started manufacturing our kits again.
I’ve always been a fan of the throwback and more traditional jerseys. This is in stark contrast to those and I’m pretty disappointed.
Anyway, I’m always open to being proven wrong. According to @TuftyMUFC, this kit could well be debuted during the weekend when the Red Devils head down south to take on Brighton in their second Premier League game of the campaign.
