Ahead of the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party slated for October, party members in Kwara state have elected their ward executives across the 193 wards of the State with most wards adopting consensus arrangements in choosing their ward executives.
The party members who participated in the peaceful exercise across some of the wards monitored by ait on Saturday expressed optimism of winning the 2023 general elections.
The exercise, which started late in the state witnessed a large turnout by the members. At Ajikobi central ward in Ilorin West local government area of the State which is also the ward of the immediate past Senate President, Bukola Saraki, party members were seen in their numbers participating in the process of electing their ward executives
Some of the newly elected ward executives said the affirmation arrangement is a sign of victory for the party in the coming 2023 general elections.

Other party stakeholders expressed satisfaction with the consensus arrangement adopted in the exercise.
The National convention of the party is expected to hold in October where National officials of the party are expected to emerge ahead of the 2023 general elections.
