Reverend Oluwaseun Aderogba, Bishop of the Anglican Communion Jebba Diocese of Kwara State, his wife, a technician at the University of Ilorin’s Department of Crop Protection, and their driver were kidnapped by unknown gunmen along the Ogbomoso / Oyo route.
The victims were kidnapped on Sunday evening while attempting to repair their faulty vehicle along the highway, according to the Kwara state Diocesan Bishop of the Anglican Communion, Bishop Sunday Adewole, who confirmed the development, adding that the abductors have contacted the church demanding #50 million in ransom.
Bishop Oluwaseun Aderogba, his wife, and their driver were reportedly returning from a function in Ogun State when the car experienced a fault, resulting in an abrupt stop.
