Governor Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-rufai of Kaduna State has said that he will help the families of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officers and men who have been killed. The officers died while protecting miners and mining sites in the state. During a recent meeting with the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, El-rufai pledged to provide support in logistics, operational equipment, and working tools to improve NCDC’s operational services.
El-rufai expressed satisfaction with the Corps’ performance, particularly with regard to safeguarding important resources and state infrastructure, such as the mining industry. He also noted the increasing concern over the activities of bandits and their attacks on innocent citizens. To enhance security services and accessibility to the people, the governor will direct all local government chairmen in the state to build more outposts for the NSCDC in their areas.

Dr. Audi thanked Governor El-rufai for his support, especially for the promised outposts, which will aid communication and reduce response time to emergencies. He told the Governor that the Corps would do its best to protect lives and important assets and infrastructure in the state. He also promised to put money into training and retraining for staff.
Senior NSCDC officers, like Deputy Commandant Olusola Odumosu, who is in charge of public relations, went with the Commandant General.
