Former President Obasanjo Decorates Son In The Army

Former military and civilian President Olusegun Obasanjo, a retired Army General, honors his son Adeboye Obasanjo, who was just promoted to Brigadier General of the Nigerian Army.

In December 2021, the Nigerian Army announced the promotion of many senior commanders in honour of their service to the country.

A total of 41 brigadier generals were promoted to major general, while 76 colonels were promoted to brigadier general.
Obasanjo performed the honors for his son.

The function commemorated the son’s recent elevation from Colonel to Brigadier General in the Nigerian Army. Former President Obasanjo, who served in the Nigerian Army Engineer Corps while in the military, had a historic homecoming. His kid is a member of the Engineer Corps.

According to reports, the former President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was granted a rare privilege by military authorities to present his son with his newly acquired promotion of Brigadier-General at the Headquarters of the Nigerian Army Engineers Corps at the Bonny Camp in Lagos.
