Caleb University in Imota, Lagos, will be holding its 12th convocation ceremony from January 19th to 21st, 2023, during which undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, diplomas, and honorary degrees will be conferred. The three-day event, which will take place at the university’s multipurpose hall, has been restructured to take place during the school’s Founder’s Week, focusing on the theme of “Digital Disruptions, Financial Inclusion, StartUps and the Challenge of Youth Creativity.”
The convocation ceremony is a significant event in the university calendar, and it is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the graduating students. The university is proud to announce that the convocation lecturer for this year’s ceremony will be Mr Babatunde Fajemirokun, the CEO of AIICO Insurance. Mr Fajemirokun is a Fellow of the Society of Underwriting Professionals (FCII); Chartered Insurance Institute UK; Chartered Insurer, and possesses decades of professional experience cutting across management consulting, insurance, and asset management. He is widely recognized as a pensions, insurance, management, and asset management guru.
The ceremony will be split across three days, with different colleges holding their convocation on different days. On Thursday, January 19, the College of Pure and Applied Sciences and the College of Education will hold their convocation. On Friday, January 20, the College of Arts, Social and Management Sciences will hold its convocation. The final day, Saturday, January 21, will feature the convocation and Founder’s Day lecture, as well as the award of honorary degrees.

The university’s Information, Media and Publication Specialist, Mr Olawale Adekoya, said, “we are excited to celebrate the achievements of our students and to recognize their hard work and dedication. The convocation ceremony is also an opportunity for the university to showcase its commitment to providing a quality education to its students.”
The university is inviting parents, guardians, and well-wishers of the graduating students, as well as the general public, to participate in the celebration and to be part of the convocation ceremony. This year’s ceremony will blend the traditional convocation ceremony with a touch of innovation and technology, making it a memorable experience for all in attendance.
