Governor Buni APC Chairman

APC National Reconciliation Committee Receives 47 Petitions

On Monday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Reconciliation Committee gave an interim report to Governor Mai Mala Buni, Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC).

Senator Abdullahi Adamu, chairman of the nine-member committee, stated in an interview that 47 petitions had been submitted thus far.
Despite the fact that the report has been filed, he stated that the party is still accepting petitions from disgruntled members in order to provide a level playing ground. Everyone can use the field.

While receiving the reconciliatory report, CECPC Chairman Mai Mala Buni, who was represented by former Senate President Ken Nnamani, stated that the report’s submission comes at a critical time because the committee’s findings will contribute significantly to a successful convention and general election.

In other news, a group calling itself the Ekiti Forum protested today at the All Progressive Congress (APC) National Secretariat in Abuja, calling for the annulment of the party primary that produced Biodun Oyebanji as the APC flag bearer for the upcoming Ekiti State governorship elections.

In an address to journalists, the coordinator, Prince Tunde Jokotola, claimed that Oyebanji, the immediate past secretary of the Ekiti government, is the anointed candidate of the state governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, and that the emergence of the former secretary is an imposition on the people of the state because the majority are not pleased with it.

As a result, he encouraged the party to reconsider the matter if they truly want to win the Ekiti state governorship elections.
