In the Osun 2022 governorship election, Senator Ademola Adeleke of the PDP has been announced the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Adeleke was declared the winner on Sunday at the Commission Headquarters in Osogbo by INEC Returning Officer for Osun 2022, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe of the University of Lagos.
In order to defeat the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, who received 375,027 votes, Senator Ademola Adeleke, with the strong support of David Adeleke, also known as Davido, received 403,371 votes.
